Competitive intelligence and market research
During your internship you will become acquainted with the various methods used for the functional Market Intelligence Disciplines. First of all, you will be responsible for data collection on B2B and B2C competition. These activities involve both desk research and field research. You will work with different online tools, financial statements and available market reports. You will also assist with the design, the execution, the analysis and recommendations for surveys. This provides you with a great possibility to put statistical data analysis and data mining techniques in practice. Second, you will be in data preparation, analyses and interpretation. You will learn how to operate web-analytics tools, how to get insights from databases with data mining tools and how to translate these insights into actions to support decision-making. Third, you will be in touch with your colleagues from marketing, web-analytics, business intelligence and product management to get in-depth knowledge of competition in different product ranges. This offers you a great opportunity to apply your cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skills.
What do we expect from our trainee?
- Education: currently enrolled in a Bachelor (of Science) or Master (of Science) level studies in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, Statistics or other business-related field.
Our trainee should have the following capabilities:
- Analytical mindset;
- Advanced English writing and speaking;
- Accurate and attentive to details;
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis (in Excel and preferably SPSS);
- Affinity with financial reporting is an asset;
- Work independently and show initiative;
- Capable of visualizing outcomes of large amounts of data.
